Origin

Brought back from an archaeological dig in Crete, Greece. It turns out to be the Turkish for basket, though we only found that out 50 years later

Notes

The modern quivalent is one of those plasic buckets sold as flexitub, trug, builder bucket, gorilla tub, “bucket handels” (really) or horse feed storage bucket.

The closest word in Greek is zembril (ζεμβριλ). It means gingerbread
